Options for Non-Tainted Creatures

The Pure Soul feat from Heroes of Horror does not exist. It is instead replaced by the following feat:

Purity of Body, Mind, and Soul [General]

Through a combination of mental and physical exercise regular spiritual devotion and perhaps more than a little luck, you are able to withstand some of the effects of battling Profound Evil.

Prerequisite: Nonevil living creature.
Benefit: Whenever a spell, effect or other ability would cause you to unwillingly gain taint, reduce the amount that you gain by 2. Whenever you unwillingly take Sanity damage, you may reduce the amount that you would take by 3. If you would take vile damage, reduce the amount you would take by 5. This essentially gives you DR 5/-, but only for vile damage.

Example: if you would gain 2 points of corruption and 4 points of depravity, you instead gain no corruption and 2 points of depravity.
Special: You may take this feat multiple times. Its effects stack.

Options for Tainted Creatures

Given the current party alignment, this shouldn’t be of interest to anyone, but there are additional feats available to those who embrace the stain of evil.

Vile Strike [Vile, Tainted]

Prerequisite: Any vile feat or mild taint, Weapon Focus.
Benefit: Your attacks with any weapon which you have the Weapon Focus feat deal additional vile damage to creatures that do not have the Excessive Taint supernatural ability according to the amount of taint or vile feats that you possess. If you have 1 vile feat or mild taint, you deal an additional 1d6 points of vile damage, 2 vile feats or moderate taint, 2d6 points of vile damage, and if you have three vile feats or severe taint, 3d6 points of vile damage. If you yourself have excessive taint, you deal an additional 1d6 points of taint to your target, along with the extra vile damage. Needless to say, this is an evil act.
Special: You may take this feat multiple times. Its effects stack.

Devour Rationality [Vile, Tainted, Monstrous]

Instead of feasting upon your victim’s awareness or personality, you instead have the option to loosen the hinges of their mind.

Prerequisite: Non-good creature, special attack or ability that deals mental ability score damage or drain, mild taint or two vile feats.
Benefit: Whenever you use your special attack or special ability to successfully deal mental ability score damage or drain, you may choose not to gain temporary hit points and instead deal 5 points of Sanity damage. Sanity lost this way cannot cause indefinite insanity, but it can still cause long-or short-term temporary insanity, if your victim loses Sanity points equal to one-half of their Wisdom score over the course of one of your turns.

Lingering Putrefaction [Vile, Tainted, Monstrous]

Instead of feasting upon your victim’s life force, you instead have the option to leave a lingering stain on their physical form, so that when their fragile living body eventually succumbs, they are yours.

Prerequisite: Non-good creature, special attack or ability that deals physical ability score damage or drain, mild taint or two vile feats.
Benefit: Whenever you use your special attack or special ability to successfully deal physical ability score damage or drain, you may choose not to deal ability damage or drain, nor gain temporary hit points. Instead, you give the target an amount of corruption equal to 1.5 times the amount of ability damage or drain you normally would bestow. If a creature tainted by you dies on the same plane as you, if their taint raises them as an undead creature, you gain control over them, regardless of the distance between you. If you have the Create Spawn ability, they instead immediately rise as though you had turned them into a spawn.
